Microsoft Training

Salam wbt..

So what actually happened last week? 3 days of full course for 21st century blended learning yada yada...haha

I thought it would be boring but hei NO! it was fun. Much fun.

Did you know that microsoft actually invest in education and they have their domain bought by the MOE about 10thousands (how much 0 is that?) licensed every year?

That's why every lecturer/staff in university in Malaysia have ".edu.my" for example mine is **ffreena@ut**.edu.my

So from the licensed bought by MOE (thanks to them) we can fully utilized the apps in microsoft office.

So last week we learned a few and we'll continue for another 2 session

Here are the lists of the things I've learned last week

1. What are actually blended learning?

There are 6 criteria such as Collaborative , knowledge construct, real word problem solving, used of ICT for learning, Self- regulation and skilled communication

The presenter did explained what it's all about for example knowledge construct doesn't mean we gave a title, they did a research and just copy what they get from the internet, but rather, did research, investigate, analyse and give own approach to meet the title objective

2. Using mix.office.com as a plug in to the conventional microsoft power point
This si quite cool! You can record yourslef givign presentation, you can even screen record! so that u can show them how to use the software etc.

This apps give me ideas for the students to do their presentation earlier and we can save time on presentation slots!

Oh didn't i tell you the students also get the same privilege as they also have emails ending .edu.my

3. We learned how to use "SWAY"

SWAY is kinda website, but which is very easy to use
If u have a presentation and u have not much time, u can just use sway and click the remix button and tada! you have done planning your presentation the coolest way ever!
I''ll try this this semester!

Oh what else did we learned?>ermm I don"t remember much but I guess this 3 components make up the most. Actually as a person who lives in the era of transition from conventional teaching method to the technology era, we are the generation that should and are able to explore this more. We know the demand and are very fast adapting to this kind of technology

Hopefully I can utilized this for my teaching and learning process

Till then!Thanx PSTP utem for the opportunity
